Scheduling around Super Bowl Sunday

The Super Bowl will kick off at 6:30 or so Sunday. To accomodate watching, coordinating is of the utmost importance on Sunday. The reason is that I will be updating my web site in the early morning to put up the results of the Super Bowl which at the time of this blog was down to the final hours of voting. In early afternoon, I will get the newspapers ready for recycling truck to come Monday. This is the last real Sunday of football until September this weekend.

Tuesday will be Shrove Tuesday, it seems like every church now wants to have Pancake Suppers instead of maybe just a community thing. I may have said in a past blog, for years my paternal Grandparents John and Frances McGinnis would go to many other denominational churches for a Ham Dinner, Turkey Dinner, etc; Tuesday will also be Mardi Gras in New Orleans and also Super Tuesday for the Presidential Primaries. A few West Virginia residents will be choosing Delegates. The actual Primary election will be held in the state in May. (Please note, I expect to have another blog before Tuesday, but I thought I mention it)

The youngest cat in our house, Mikey will live his second decade in our household Sunday and Mikey is continuing to scratch his injury that he suffered awhile back and mainly doing this with his shield around him.

The inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced Saturday, I turned the TV on and off back and forth Saturday flipping to ESPN2 to see the names starting at 2:00 P. M.: no info yet, 3:00 P. M.: No info yet, 4:00 P. M.: No info yet, but after 5:00 P. M., the names were announced and former Washington Redskins Art Monk and Darrell Green were selected as did Gary Zimmerman, Andre Tippett, Fred Dean and Emmitt Thomas. Amazingly, all but Emmitt Thomas were drafted after I was born in 1969.

As my cousin Chuck McGinnis returned back to Clarksburg (WV) this week to his parish work on a little slower pace, Lara Marshall suffered another seizure on Thursday in Florida and was taken to the ER and will see the doctor Monday according to Lara's mom Mary Kay, whose birthday was Friday and is headed to Tampa to find out from Lara's doctor on what is going on.
