Nice to see you back here again!
Looking forward to seeing more posts from you; you have a pretty cool journal here.
I also liked the Pepsi/Justin Timberlake one.. haha. Anyways, have a wonderful week!
20 years ago this Sunday, Wheeling Park High School had it's Queen of Queens contest which began a week of royalty as a queen and a king were going to be chosen. I was on Park's Student Council which sponsored the Queen of Queens and there were if I recall 15 candidates who did a song, dance or put on a routine. But I must share with you stories on this. John Banco, who was an English Teacher and Student Council Advisor at the High School for many years had me around the girl's restroom around the Gymnasium area at the area. Orginally, I was told that I would work backstage for some reason instead of watching Ms. Kim Nuzum and the late Pat Clutter, who actually should have taken the night off from his job at WTRF host the show, but actually I did watch some of the show. Clutter promoted about the Prom to be held two months later since he was wearing a tuxedo for the Pageant. What about the contest winners? Well, the odds on looked to be Jan Ross since she was Homecoming Queen back in October of 1987, but Ross, whose married name is L'Ecuyer placed first runner-up. Nuzum announced that THE WINNER IS YOU AMY GALLUPE! Another story on this, there was another type of misconception, Ms. Karen Gordon-Young, a Special Education Aide at the School thought I was working backstage for the play "Cats" which was held at the Capitol Music Hall that same night. By the way what about the King? Well, i'll share that with you in one of my blogs next week.
Meanwhile, Wheeling actually did get snow, rain and a little ice on Friday. There was a possibility that a Doctor Appointment that was scheduled for this day would be cancelled, but it took place and I was the first one in, but the doctor was late. However with the weather being snowy it is a good reason for a change. Meanwhile, my next door neighbor is recovering from the flu. A fire truck and ambulance came around 11:00 P. M. Wednesday night. I did hear of the fact that many people who got flu shots did get the flu this year. So far things are fine with me at the moment.
Also, in conclusion. My Appreciation weekend planned for 2 weeks from now at my Tripod web site has been postponed until April to accomodate more time such as whether or not to call it Visitor or Surfer. Right now though, you can view "My Childhood Life" if you haven't done so already.
