This is my first blog on my brand new computer. I hoped to return Tuesday night, but the guy I purchased from forgot the modem when he installed everything and then Wednesday came with the new modem. On Wednesday morning though, the printer/scanner that I left over from the computer I was using was installed. On Wednesday night, I called the internet provider and went through dial up instructions and then went on-line to install my Norton Anti-Virus and it took a long time because the modem was at 2001 levels of on 28.8 kbp. I am not sure what the story is I am waiting word on what to do. The computer system was custom made as I have mentioned.

The news of course was the Hillary Clinton's 3 state wins making it look good May 13th for West Virginia residents to vote the Democratic nomination for President. Ohio was one of the states that she won and they kept a few precincts open in Cuyahoga County after Barrack Obama, who won Vermont tried to file a lawsuit and also bad weather in the Cleveland area. In the local counties, results didn't come in until late in Belmont County and when it did, the 2 incumbent commissioners up for re-election were defeated. In Jefferson County, the jail in the county is in big financial trouble as a levy failed there. However there will be a new animal shelter in the county which my friend Deanna Rainery's husband was probably happy about, because last I heard he was working there. Also, former local TV weatherman John Domenick fought a challenge from former representative Jerry Krupinski.

Also another thing that happened locally Tuesday was the possibility of flooding on the Ohio River, fears were a little bit put to rest as the weather started to get cold and such.

Another news story that was known was Brett Favre retiring from the Green Bay Packers. It does put end to all speculation year after year now. A news conference was planned for noon Thursday.

I am typing now from a black keyboard and certainly how to clean it will be a question as will my new mouse and such and I have a new monitor much smaller and carries less weight and I will be able to clean off dust and then also I have to install new java and adobe acrobat also. I also plan to get my new surge protector here soon.

I'll be e-mailing most of you soon as I look at my other things also. I was shocked to find out that visitors to my 360.yahoo page took a big jump on Tuesday. I am also needing to catch up on some of the things going on and hopefully things will be back to normal soon!
