Nice to see you back here again!
Looking forward to seeing more posts from you; you have a pretty cool journal here.
I also liked the Pepsi/Justin Timberlake one.. haha. Anyways, have a wonderful week!
It is kind of tough to decide from time to time what to share with you in my blog. On this day, I updated things for my web site. As I reported in a previous blog I shared the announcement that I would Volunteer at the Easter Seal Telethon next Sunday at WTRF-TV. I think I have said my parents did the first 18 telethons. This coming week, I will have a couple blogs sharing some of the past years of the telethons. I will tell you the setup went like this. On Saturday afternoon at around 5:00 or so my Paternal Grandparents would stay overnight just as the winner was known on ABC's "Pro Bowlers Tour". After we ate, my parents would visit with them and then go upstairs to rest for about 3 or 4 hours and go to WTRF-TV. The Telethon was national and of course, at 11:00 P. M. the news would be on and would be live from where the Telethon will be and then at 11:30 P. M. the shown would begin with the National portion. I will mention, there was a National Portion for 23 years. The National Easter Seal Society said the reason they discontinued a National portion was the 5 letter word. M O N E Y. WTRF still carries it with local talent along with evening anchors begging for money. I will talk about the telethon more this week and don't be surprised if I repeat things I mentioned from my blog exactly a year ago.
One of the things that may help this week to get you to view my Tripod web site where you will see a picture of my mom serving refreshments as a volunteer at the 1985 Telethon. One other thing that you will get to see is a story of my prom from 20 years ago. Be sure to see me wearing a tuxedo. Those of you who live in Wheeling may want to see both of these pictures. I think it is the only time I have worn a bow tie and the picture also may have interest if you know any of the people in the picture.
