Nice to see you back here again!
Looking forward to seeing more posts from you; you have a pretty cool journal here.
I also liked the Pepsi/Justin Timberlake one.. haha. Anyways, have a wonderful week!
My first time in 3 years volunteering at the Easter Seal Telethon at WTRF was expected to have a few changes since WTRF remodeled at the time when I last volunteered. There are 2 entrances now, a regular entrance and a handicapped entrance. The regular entrance when I volunteered in 2004 is now the handicapped entrance and the new regular entrance was the door that used to house radio stations and I expected people would enter from there. But the entrance of the day was the handicapped entrance. My day was spent stuffing pledges unto envelopes, there was good news and bad news. Good news was the room where I was doing the stuffing was on the same floor as the refreshment area for volunteers and staff where there was a television set for people who wanted to watch the show. Bad news was the room that I was stuffing the envelopes in didn't have a TV set. However, I have insurance, I taped the telethon at home and was reviewing some of it after I got home. Many businesses donated food and such, however the amount of food was less and sure it was enough to supply all those who wanted their second helpings and such. The telethon by the way, raised over $217,000.
Meanwhile on Saturday, I went to the Hallmark shop where I live looking for a birthday card for 16 years olds. Since this is a card store there would be a great chance to find a card for my nephew Tres' who will be that age May 2. I purchased the card and then I realized when I got home, the birthday card was specialized as a girls 16th birthday card.
Please be sure to go to my tripod site this week to vote on what week your prom was in High School. By the way, while John Marshall High School was used for the first Jamboree show since December 2005 Saturday night, it was Prom night for the school. Wheeling Park High students are getting ready for theirs next weekend which will begin it's third decade of After Prom Parties. The first After Prom gave away a car to a senior. They have sensibly given away cash instead to the senior now. I also wanted to mention that I began typing information for 2008's "In the Beautiful Underwater" during the weekend. The information will become available for the first time May 15th and will have a more family feel when you read the info.
