Nice to see you back here again!
Looking forward to seeing more posts from you; you have a pretty cool journal here.
I also liked the Pepsi/Justin Timberlake one.. haha. Anyways, have a wonderful week!
I can not tell you how many times I have been in her office to report many things that range from mistakes in bank work, unexpected moments that I had to see happen and handling that situation instead of doing what I had planned on doing to such things as having to report of people that also had worked for Becky in the past on such things as family emergencies and the dreaded mention of death. We are trying to keep a positive with this homage though.
The things I can tell you that I can highlight during my years with her as boss is a few highlights. There was one lady who was summoned to the floor I work on to a department, that was not on the floor, I took the lady down to the Teller line as Theresa Wales likes to call it where my real contact with Samantha McGee, the receptionist began by the way and a representative was there to handle her. I reported that story the next day though to Becky. Another one that I can tell you about is that she still dress up on a daily basis which is not a normal process now a days at other businesses, a red dress suit typically worn for Fall and winter months is a favorite of mine. It really didn’t come to mind May 13, 2006 when Kim Kimmins wore a similar outfit as I wanted to get approval of the naming of KARA the Panda Bear after she and her mother Rosemary were returning after 5:00 P. M. mass at St. Vincent dePaul Church. Another mention when the bank has a jeans day for March of Dimes, Breast Cancer awareness, etc., Becky will pay the contribution and wear a jean skirt that day. One other highlight to tell you, Becky still had to go the Wheeling National Bank building for 2 months or so off and on for research matters. It may interest you to know Becky walked down a flight of stairs from the lobby to the 8th floor office.
Away from WesBanco, Becky as I said lives in Glen Dale, with her husband Steve, who many of you hear weekday mornings on WOVK radio with Jim Elliott on Morning Madness along their two daughters Jeanette, who was in John Marshall when I started working for Becky and is now working for WVDHHR and Emily, who was in Elementary school when I started and will graduate May 22 from John Marshall High School and assumingly actively involved with the Glen Dale United Methodist Church. It has been over the last 2 and half years to see a picture of them in her office and how good that photographer took the picture of them. Of course, Becky goes out to Jamboree in the Hills due to Steve’s involvement with the radio station. Another thing, Jeanette graduated a semester early from West Liberty State College in December 2005
Becky, by the way will be going to the Central Union Building, AKA now 2 Bank Plaza, where she will work as customer service/research where a better type environment is ahead for Doris Trabert, Tina Fahey and Nina Cleaver, who have had their desks where Becky’s office has been located since March 2002 at 1 Bank Plaza on the 8th floor.
This will be somewhat a tough day as not only will Becky be moving, but also the employees who work in Bookkeeping will also be going to the Central Union Building also. Though I will see Becky sometimes and e-mail on other highlights from time to time, it will not be the same seeing her and others that I have mentioned daily.
