Man versus Bridge

There are times we are told that when you start something you must finish it, this statement held true to myself Wednesday afternoon during my hour lunch break when I walked onto the sidewalk of the Wheeling Suspension Bridge.

It is amazing how many Island residents walk onto the bridge without feeling like they were going to fall into the Ohio River. I decided to try this being the fact that someday I want to go scuba diving somewhere and not face any fears.

It felt for me like I was walking on a tightrope to and from the bridge almost throughout despite giving leeway to other pedestrians as I held on, it also reminded me of TV shows where someone was out on the ledge. I also felt like I was a blinded person walking back.

You know this is amazing considering that a year ago Thursday I no longer needed my crutches from my knee injury that I had suffered 2 months earlier. I felt I had triumphed and maybe hopefully even some dreams that I have will be less on the scary side.
